An Inter-CFAR Working Meeting: CFAR HIV Research in International Settings

The UC San Diego CFAR International Core is hosting an inter-CFAR working meeting on CFAR HIV Research in International Settings (CHRIS). All who have an interest in international HIV/AIDS research are welcome to attend, and registration is FREE!

The CHRIS meeting will cover results of international HIV research supported by one or more of the U.S. Centers for AIDS Research (CFARs). The schedule will include oral and poster presentations, as well as two Biostatistics breakout sessions organized by the CFAR at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. What is the cost?

Attendance is FREE!

What about airfare and lodging?

Attendees are responsible for their own airfare and lodging. If you need to rent a car to attend the meeting, day-use parking is only $11 for CHRIS attendees only in the garage adjacent to the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

What about meals?

Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be included during the CHRIS meeting. All other meals are on your own. If you have food allergies or special dietary requirements we will try to accommodate your needs during the CHRIS meeting. Please indicate your needs on the registration form.

What is the dress code?

Business casual.

Who can attend?

Anyone who is interested in international HIV research is welcome to attend the CHRIS meeting.

What if I only want to attend the Biostatistics session?

Please register for the general meeting. No separate registration is required. During the day, you may participate in the main session or the Biostatistics breakouts as you wish. The two groups will convene for breaks and meals.

Can I give my reservation to someone else if I can't make it?

Please email cfar@ucsd.edu to transfer your reservation to another person. Remember to update or cancel your travel arrangements if you transfer your reservation to someone else.

Can people sign up on the day of the CHRIS meeting?

We ask for registration by September 21 to guarantee catering. Late reservations will be accommodated as space permits, but late registrants may be on their own for meals and snacks.

Where do I park?

A parking garage is adjacent to the hotel. Out-of-town guests staying at the hotel may park for $20/day. Local participants may park on the day of the CHRIS meeting for only $11. Carpooling is recommended if possible.
